1996 kawasiki sts starter issue
just clicks will not start
local shop said starter likely bad. took it off what a job. connected directly to jet ski battery which is good. and it will not turn it connected to 12 v truck battery and it spins like crazy. is starter bad??
if not what else should i be looking at. also felt inside of housing where starter connects up surprised there are no splines to connect to just felt something going across opening in inside is this way it is supposed to be.?
trying to fix my problem and not take it into shop because of expense
