Default Keihin Carb Kit, '94 750 SS Xi

I have a '94 750 SS Xi that starts and idles fine, but once in the water and try to accelerate, the engine dies. Every once in a while it takes off, but then acts like it runs out of gas and dies. Starts right back up again though. If I turn the choke just right, it seems to temporarily have power.

I'm guessing I need to first try new carb kits, but not sure which model to buy. I found a spec on Dennis Kirk's website that says it has a 40mm Keihin CDK. (JH750B engine.) The CDK-II was listed for 750s 1996 and after. I can easily find CDK-II kits, but cannot find a CDK kit. Are they the same?
Thanks

Default Carb Kit

It took the CDK-II kit. Bought 2 kits from SBT. Rebuilt both carbs, now runs great.
