the starter motor runs and turns the gear assy. i pulled the flywheel cover and took out the gear assy. when i hold it in my hand and turn it the gearing moves forward to engage what would be the flywheel, yet when it is hooked up it just spins freely and does not engage the flywheel. my only thought is that there is a bushing on the parts diagram that is on the flywheel cover that attaches to the end of the gear assy. could that be my problem? any help is appreciated.
