Default 92' kawasaki X2 cylinders overheating

Just got a new addition to the family and took it out for the first time, ran it a little and checked for leaks and other issues. Splashed water on exhaust and cylinder head and water boiled on cylinder head and down the cylinder, no overheating on exhaust manifold or pipe, water is runnig out through pisser, but the cylinders are way too hot!!! Got home and dropted down the ride plate, no restriction at pump housing inlet, ran hose through the coolant inlet at at back of ski, and ran for 15 min. No overheating issue like running at lake. I don't think it's normal for water to boil on the cylinder head. Any HELP would be appreciated!!!
