All was working fine last weekend. Tried starting it up this weekend and machine is dead. Start button does nothing, no click, nothing. Changed battery to fully charged battery, still nothing.
I am new at working on these machines, any ideas on what to check next? what equipment I will need?

id check all you connections from electrical box to starter, and stator..make sure you have good grounds,

i have the same problem with my 93 650 sx..everything ran great last week started right up and now this week it doesnt even click, turn over, nothing but my connections look good and the battery is fully charged so if you figure it out before me plz let me know

does the start button feel the same as the stop when pressed? i just got an sx550 and there is a little tab that can be moved over to stop the start button from being engaged.
