i am looking to buy a Kawasaki 550 years 85, 88, 91, and 92. Im not sure which year yet, it depends on the price.

I was wondering when i look at these skis, what should i look for, i know the obvious stuff like hull damage, a bad battery, and simple problems. but is there a way to check for the not so obvious problems that can cause damage long term damage or an expensive repair

im goin to tell you that there really is no way of checking the motor for problem, for example, i bought a 84 js550, it ran great when i was in process of buying, seller said it just needed a carb tuneup, well i bought it, ran it for 45 min and it died, the crank,flywheel,stator, and electrical box where all fucked up, my crank and flywheel had 1/8inch pit in em, i have now spent almost 400 bucks and my motor is slowly coming bake together...so basicaly watch out wut you buy...
