It sounds like the starter is moving, just slowly due to lack of power. I'd take your battery to an auto parts store and have them do a test on it. They will tell you quickly if it's good or bad. If it's good, it probably just needs a recharge. They will do all of this for free. Usually takes about a half hour to charge it.
