Unhappy Oil to Gas ratio problem!

Hey guys, I have a 1998 Kawasaki Sxi Pro (750) and from my understanding my friend trippled or nearly quadrupled the oil to gas ratio! How serious is this? Is was ran for about 90 minutes and i believe it started smoking a little more than usual and also started to cut off every 30 seconds or so, which it was then immediately put up. I've been told I just need to replace the spark plugs and drain the tank or is this much more serious? FML.
