Default Using water hose to run Jetski for an extended period

If I have to run my Jetski for an a period of more than a few minutes will doing it connected to a garden hose be a problem? I have to test my jetski but my registration expired. I cannot put it in the water at the moment because I wont be getting the registration for many weeks. I want to run the engine at idle for 15 or more minutes to check a possible overheat condition. Will the hose provide enough volume to properly cool everything?

Thanks

the only thing that needs cooling is the engine and a garden hose connection is what its meant for. look for water to come out the right places while running the ski and touch the motor while its running. it should not get hot at all...
