How importsnt are the trim seals?
97 1100 STX on the intake grate there are three seals on the three grates. I am just putting this thing together to make sure it runs and wonder what will happen if they are not replaced (they are corroded and I ruined them getting the grate out). What do they do (I thought maybe prevent cavitation?)?
