I have found a 95 900 zxi for sale locally. I have not looked at it yet, but he says it runs but when you push on the throttle it dies. Well assuming its a carb, Its probably all munged up with old gas. Is there anything I should look for or look out for? The prices is less than $1000 it comes with a trailer. I understand the pump can need rebuilding on the older models. Just was wondering if anyone had advise either about this model or used jet ski purchasing.

Check compression first. It could very well have a dead cylinder.
