Default new project need advice please

hello everybody new member here and need advice on my new project.

i just picked up a kawasaki jet ski for 150.00 with a bad piston and cylinder the other side looks ok.
the title says-1995 kawasaki, model number is jh750b3/it is a 750 and says twin carb on the moter.can anybody tell me anything about this model?

i just checked on ebay and found a rebuild kit with gaskets for 159.99,that includes 2-oversise pistons rings ,gasket kit.

so im thinking i can bore out the two cylinders is this correct?

i also need to buy paint for the bottom of the hull do i buy a marine paint,or can i use the nason red and clear coat i have here at the house i bought for a car and never used?

i pulled the head and turned the engine over and dont here a loose rod or anything but the original owner told my he lent it to a freind and the oil light come on and the guy burnt it up.i hope it wont need the bottom end redone to (i got my fingers crossed as im typing).

thanks for answering my questions and i love this forum

by the way i have never even rode a jet ski before so im pretty excited to get this thing running and looking top notch for the lake soon.

Hey buddy, before you order those parts do yourself a favor and measur the bores diameters. Inspect the pistons and rings. A local machine shop should be able to hone the cylinders and maybe you'll need the pistons, maybe. Order a real service manual too as this will help you out a ton. Also I hope u NEVER lend your ski to anyone unless your on the lake with them! lol good luck, Sean white lake, mi
