Default How do I change the oil on my 2009 ultra lx?

I have a 2009 ultra lx and I am due for my 10th hour break in service.

The dealer was a real cool guy and told me instead of bringing it back to them and paying $200 that I could do the 10hr service myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is the oil the only thing I have to do for the 10hr service? If so could someone explain where u drain and fill the oil? Thanks guys

Default Changing oil

I have a ultra250x & have done the oil change myself on it.
To drain the oil i had to take out the dip stick & attach a hose with a hose clamp to a hand pump & do it that way.
On my service book it says oil every 50hrs or yearly, oil filter every 100hrs, but the intial service is at 10hrs as you said.
As far as the location of the oil filter its right under the mainifold with just enough room to get your hand in. I have not attempted to remove the filter yet as it only has 36hrs on the clock.
I use shell helex in mine, rang up jv marine in braeside to make sure its ok, the guy there told me as long as the oil specs are the same that i wouldn't have a problem & so far so good it runs like new & is about $15 a bottle cheaper.
As you probley know the only difference from yours to mine is mine has a supercharger on it, otherwise its the same engine.
Hope any of this information has helped you out & hope to see you on the water this summer. Cheers
