I run a '95 900ZXI. It runs great with just one on-board. These are just 9 ft long hulls. Two adults strain the capacity. (Yes, I know they're call 2-person skis.... but remember the sales pitch translation... 2-seat=1 passenger, 3-seater = 2 passengers). Does it have a working trim motor?? (Mine has been removed, and is now fixed at mid-trim). For 2 passengers, get your weight just as far forward as humanly possible, and have the passenger do the same... stand up and lean forward some more if needed. ( at least till you plane out.) Next check your prop pitch... is it geared for speed, or thrust??? I don't remember mine... it is 16/24 I think???.... maybe a bad guess though. Does it rev up, but just not develop thrust, or does it bog down and not rev in the first place?. Are you sure there are no weeds, or other intake obstructions? Does it have an extended ride plate? (the stock plate is a bit too short in my estimation, for 2 adults, or to avoid porpoising as well.) Anyway, mine has an extended ride plate, and I can get it on plane with 2 adults, but it is not as easy as the brochures would have led you to believe (assuming I actually bought it from a brochure in '95.... which I didn't!) I have a 3-seater 750STS that handles 2 adults with much more convenience, especially for boarding and dismounting, and planes out OK, even though it is a smaller engine.
