Default 94 750st please help

i have a 94 kawasaki 750 st. it runs great for about the first 3 minutes in the water. then it falls on its face, it acts like it gets flooded out or the engine misses if i give it more than 1/4 throttle. it idles fine and if i give it 1/4 throttle, it will rev fine or i can hold it there and putt around, but if i give it more throttle than that, it acts like the engine misses or floods out. if i mess around with the throttle, every once in a while it will act like it wants to take off but falls on it face right before it planes out. it has new plugs, new 93 octane fuel, and cleaned carb. also, its compression is about 125 for both cylinders. please help me out with any suggestions, because i just dont understand why it could run fine at first, then have problems that never get better untill i take it out the next day, then the same 3 or so minutes.

also, i was wondering if it could be the thermo unit, but like i said earlier, if i feather the throttle back and forth, (very rarely, but sometimes it does try to go, but wont plane out). so if it were the thermo, i wouldnt think i could get it to do that. but i dont know, thats why im here. also would unplugging it bypass it, to possibly rule that out? i did unplug it, and it starts but i havent had it in the water yet.
