Default HELP! Capsized/wont start now

Today I capsized my jet ski (09 STX-15) and the hull had a lot of water in it and it wont start now. I press the start button and all i hear is a "kick" almost a sounds like the "ck" sound in "check" and then nothing after that. Any ideas?! Please help!!

Did you pull the spark plugs and try cranking it? If your engine ingested water you need to fog it Before things start to rust.

So is like the battery is acting dead or drained? If thats "ck" sound, pull the plugs and jump it. How long was it full of water?

You can jump it with your car just like you would another car. It sounds like your starter. If you have a test light see if your getting power to your starter when you press the start button. How much water was in the hull? Where your plugs wet?

Whew!! I just fixed it! I took the plugs out one last time and pressed start and water shot out like crazy. I rode it around a while and it is back to 100 percent now.

great now take the plugs back out and spray fogging oil in the holes. Change your oil and filter. If there is milky oil witch there probably will be you need to keep changing it until its gone. Change oil & filter run it for a half hour repeat. when its running spray fogging oil in the intake. Don't just think its all set you have water in the engine and it will rust.

You are very lucky that you didn't bend any thing when the ski was hydrolocked, you have caused some harm to the internals from water being in there. Was this salt water? Do what others said, believe me rust never sleeps. You should have pulled the plugs first and turned it over so the water could come without trying to compress it, yikes.

Its fresh water...thank god. And i just checked the oil and as expected it was milky. Should I change the oil/filter myself or have the dealer do it?
