Default Kawasaki 650 sx problem

Hey guys. New problem occurred on the lake today and i dont really know what is causing it. It seems when i give my ski gas that the crankshaft is slipping. The motor revs up normal and everything seems fine but the ski doesnt take off as fast as usual. It takes a few seconds for it to engage properly and then everything works fine. Goes as fast as it usually does and doesnt seem to slip or have problems at high speeds.

Without taking anything off yet, the teeth on both ends of the crankshaft seem to be engaged properly into the impeller and motor.

Any ideas would be much appreciated,
Thanks
