I have a 95 900 ZXI that isn't getting spark. I've read on here that a lot of the time it's the stator going out that has caused the no spark issues.
Does anyone know how I can go about testing the stator, ohm readings and such? I've done a visual inspection(removed the stator)and everything looks ok?
I've downloaded every service manual I can find and none of them mention how to test the stator. I'm new to the Jet Ski world and would love to know more before I start throwing money at this ski and not fix the issue.
Not sure if there are model differences, but here is data for a typical 750 motor:
Charge coil (Brown to Brown) 0.7 - 1.1 ohm
Exciter coil (Red to Red, or Purple to Red) 266-398 ohm
Pickup or Sense coil 396-594 ohm
charging coil = brown lead to brown lead 50v output test
