Default 1995 Kawasaki 900ZXI Has Me Stumped...

I bought a 1995 Kawasaki 900ZXI recently. I purchased it and the guy I purchased it from had emptied the tanks and ran the engines till the carbs were dry before winterizing it. I changed the plugs and reconnected the fuel filter and filled the tank with gas. Took it out and ran fine for about 45 minutes. Then I parked it and let it sit for about 20 minutes and then went to take it out again. THis time it stalled after about 10-20 seconds at full throttle. It would only idle and whenever I gave it full fuel it would die. Now the jetski doesn't even idle and doesn't wanna start and only runs when I give it 1500 RPM's and I pulled the plugs and they are already fouled. I seem to be getting weak spark, idk what it could be... Any tests would be greatly appreciated.

Do a compression test. If that goes well then check the fuel lines to make sure they are free of obstructions. You may need a carburetor rebuild.

it might be the temp sensor if it gets to hot that keeps it at a idle. I not sure just guessing here.

I don't empty the tank for winter, but just add Stabilzer. Had the ski been sitting unused for long (like years??) Old stale fuel turns gummy, then hard. New fuel starts to soften & disolve that crud... moving it around to new places in the carbs. I would have guessed plugged carbs = lean running. But fouled plugs sound like too rich. Put new plugs in and monitor them. But first clean and/or overhaul the carbs. You can check the spark by holding a loose plug against the head. A good strong "snap" is normal. But weak coils often fail under heat and load.... so a cranking speed test doen't always tell the tale.
