I took it in to the service shop for the oil light and get the ski back to it can't be fixed unless the long or short block is replaced . The second ski still has the oil light go on , i put ina bit of oil and it runs fine . Any thoughts or help for me . Is it worth trying to find a used engine and repolace the broken one ? Thanks Steve (kids1234boats )

HI Outlaw , i got a message that you responed to my post yesterday but i could not see it . It was about the 2 x 2003 FX140 i have . One lost oil pressure i was told at the shop and after 2 weeks of not being able to find the problem they had to take the engine apart and then found that the shaft that goes to the oil pump and sheared off a part of the crankcase . Now i no know nothing about these but the crazy thing is i brought the ski in becuase the oil light went on . It had done that last season and when i put in about a half quart of oil . Light went off and machine ran fine . That happen twice in the summer and when i took them in for winter storage the service report back was they had extra oil that needed drained . So this year when it happened i just took it straight into the shop. I am purplexed .
