Yamaha has redesigned its FX Cruiser HO for 2008 with a brand new hull and deck made with nanotechnology.

The only personal watercraft manufacturer using nanotechnology, Yamaha says the innovative and award-winning NanoExcel provides a 25% reduction in weight in the hull, deck and liner.

With the lighter components, riders will find improvements in performance and handling, acceleration, top speed and power-to-weight ratio, according to the company.

"This process really allows us to have a material that is more dense, stronger and cuts the weight significantly," Yamaha's marine product manager Jean-Francois Rioux told PersonalWatercraft.com. "By bringing a lighter weight to the machine, we're changing the whole characteristic and handling of the unit."

I own a 2008 Yamaha FX SHO. The image shown in the first post is an older model.

They are beasts of the water and are INCREDIBLE fast. I owned a Seadoo RXP and RXT and their new 255's so far this season.

Still the fastest, and darn proud. I got an RUO code and am running at 9,000RPMs.

This one has a really different, has a really nice color and is really fast, I love it!
It is an innovation compare to the other ones, because of nanotechnology desk.
The material is dense and is good for when you are in the watter.

i just bought a new 2009 yamaha fx ho cruiser . i live in pa . its cold here now so i cant play with it till next summer . do any of you own one ? can you tell me ,about your experience with it ?

If you do not mind me asking, what type of deal if you did get a deal on the cost, I plan on purchasing the same one , but not for another year or two, I am sure by then they will be even more areodynamic.
