I have the above noted machine with original cdi and stator and started having the problem of it not starting after you shut it off. It also misses at mid and high speed range. What I think I should do is replace the cdi with the latest black cap cdi and the newest startor. And have a couple of questions first is this a reasonable approach to the problem and second do you have to pull the engine to preform the operation?
From what I have read it seems it is just a matter of time before the cdi and stator fail anyway. Also where is the best place to purchase the kits?
