Default Can someone who knows about Polaris Pistons etc... Please lend me some help?

First off, THANKS for this great site. I have been looking for a site like this forever! My question is. I am looking at buying a 93 Polaris SL750 just as a back up ski. The guy has had it garage kept and it is in mint shape with no fading, sticker peeling or anything like that. Being in such great shape it does have a problem. The front piston has developed a burnt hole almost right in the center of the piston.. apparently the other pistons are fine but I was wondering if this could me a major fix or a smaller one. If the ski wasnt in such great shape I would pass but I can get it for $600. Would it be wise to get this thing or am I looking at alot more money for this and that trying to get it back in the water? Thanks for all the help!

Buy it, the cylinder probably isn't in bad shape, order a new piston and rings along with a 3 out let fuel pump and your problem should be fixed. I did mine for under $200.00 cdn and it works great now.
