Hi, I have a 96sl700. Before getting on plan it sounds good but it has an occasional miss (maybe one or two misses). Once on plane it is all good. Someone told me that I should take the carbs off and rebuild and clean them. I think that it may just be old gas.


Can old gas cause the engine to miss a little at the hole shot? the tank was 3/4 full when I bought it. I added more gas fuel stabilizer (sta-bil and startron). I also changed the filters.

what can the engine to miss before plane.

What about additive like Lead substitute, Octane booster, and water absorber like iso-heet? Will or can any of these help me?


Also I was told that I may be too big for the ski and that just how it works, I am 200lbs.
