Just bought a 99 slx without putting it in the water. Dumb, I know but I bought I bought it cheap. The power trim is stuck up, but the guage shows it moving. Does this sound like a tough fix? Thanks

Mine was doing the same thing...The gear in the trim motor was stripped. Went to the dealership and got a new one for mine (2000 slx) and put it on my self. Fairly easy fix but the part cost me about $180 bucks. Just take the trim mech out of the back and its easy to get to the trim motor itself. Three bolts under the hull then a few screws
