Default Need help hooking up older style gas guage

Hi, I have a 1996 Polaris slt700 with a likely bad gas gauge with rust inside of the gauge, and it does not move. I have obtained a gas guage from a 92 Polaris with three long brass screwterminals, the gauge on thebike now has three wires as part of a wiring harness-I am betting if someone can tell me what wires from the old harness go on what terminals of the olderstyle gauge, I will be in business. The wires are red with white stripe, black, and pink on the existing harness. Thanks, and if you know it won't work let me know that too!

Well to answer my own question, yes it will work and the terminals are sort ofmarked but very hard to see, I for 12volt, gnd for ground,
and S for sender. Good news it works, bad news my tank float must be sunk since it's hanging around empty all the time.
