Question Have to disconnect battery everytime

Can somebody offer some help with this question? I have a 03 virage. Everything works fine, but the hour meter and guage cluster will continue to run until it runs the battery down. The only way that I can stop this is to disconnect the battery everytime that I am not going to ride for awhile. Can anybody tell me what I need to replace or repair to end this?

I'm having the same problem with my SLX, only you can even crank the engine over and adjust the trim
