Default 2000 Genesis Battery Removal

Newbie Question here - on a 2000 Genesis FICHT - does the Engine Management Module need to be removed in order to get the battery out? And if so, is there any precautions needed when removing the EMM? Ski won't start, so I am assuming the battery, which is about 3 years old is probably gone.
Thanks.

Came accross your question and per my husband who removes our batter every winter says you have to remove the bolts and move the EMM to the side. We are currently looking to purchase a new EMM for our 2001 Polaris Genesis and can't seem to find anything. Good luck with yout machine.
