Default another no spark issue

I recently inherited a 2000 slh with no spark at the plug.It had a new stator installed as well as a new spark coil. When cranking the stator output read 146-152 ohms and 1.68 volts. When I ran a test on the CDI output to the coil as suggested on this forum I had less than 2 volts out of the CDI when cranking.
Any help on testing the CDI you folks can suggest would be much appreciated

The shut down swith seems fine. The engine cranks,I have 12 volts coming into the CDI when cranking but only 2 volts on the output to the coil> I suspect the CDI is bad but read that they are fairly reliable. Is there any way to run a diagnostic on the CDI when it's removed? Anybody?
