Unhappy yam 2001 xl800 problems need help.

TO all yamaha jet ski owners, Is their any one with a yamaha xl 800 that has had power valve issue,were some sort of a holding pin has come off, causing severe engine damage.meaning power valve falling into the cyclinder. net result damage piston, cyclinder walls. no compression. WHAT was the cause. IS their any one with similar problems.HELP.

Yes the PV motors have issues with dropping the valve. However there is a fix, visit this site WaveEater Products they have developed a clip to prevent the valve from dropping into the cylinder.

Other than that the PV motors are a great powerplant
