Hello from Southeast Virginia. I am a complete newbie to PWC's, I have owned a few boats and several motorcycles but never a PWC. I am about to buy, what I hope is a good deal. Seller has agreed to sell me a '92 Kawasaki 650 (unsure of model) and a 96 Tigershark 640 (again, unsure of model), both on a tandem trailer for $1100. The kawasaki runs great, the Tigershark runs but needs help. Both have been converted to pre-mix. I'm scheduled to pick them up next weekend. Wish me luck. Any advice to a rank beginner is appreciated. Also anyone nearby that has experience with evaluating a Tigershark, please contact me.

I'm not even sure where I can ride around here, any suggestions? I live west of Suffolk, VA.

Welcome aboard. It's a great sport/hobby. I would check the compression before you buy the watercraft.
