Default American Power Boat Association National Tour

Racing fever was in full force in Parker, Ariz., for the first two rounds of the American Power Boat Association National Tour. The five-event, nine-round series got off to a spectacular start on the Colorado River in May with some impressive talent and tight competition. Closed-course racers and teams from all over the world converged upon the BlueWater Resort and Casino-the host and title sponsor-to compete within 11 Pro-Am and Expert classes. Masters, novice and amateur racers hit the course as well.

Getting in on the action were some of the sport's superstars, including Chris MacClugage, who competed in the Sport Modified class for the first time in 15 years. On a 2007 Kawasaki X-2, MacClugage finished second behind Chris Heindrich in Round 1 with Tony Martinez rounding out the top three. MacClugage upped his game in Round 2, knocking Heindrich into second while Shawn Quemada earned an impressive third-place finish.
