Default Runs fine up to about 5,000 RPM then cuts out

My 95XP starts and runs good, also takes off fine but at around 5,000 RPM it cuts out. I had an issue with my exhaust pipe (twice) studs broke and shot water all over. Since fixing the ehaust pipe I emptied the tank, put new gas in twice, changed the plugs. The other day it was working fine except a little weak hard into a corner. Next time out it was back to cutting out all the time around 5,000 RPM. I'm wondering if it could be the module or maybe the diaphrams in the carbs any thoughts?

Thanks,

SDRotax

Check all your electical connectors for moisture and be sure the grounds are good and clean. Thats where I would start.

by cutout do you mean shut off completely or just drop rpm's and then kick back in? It could be bad gas, clogged fuel system, or a problem with the carbs. Worst case it might be your stater.
