Default 1995 Xp Vts

Just a couple questions. I recently purchased a Seadoo XP that has no spark and will not crank over when pressing the Start/STop button. I jumpered the starter relay and found that to be bad as the motor then cranks over fine. Now, I also have no fire. The previous owner had told me that the craft had partially sunk and then never ran again. The motor or Electical Box did not submerge but the VTS did. Could something in the VTS system cause no spark? Could this cause something in the MPEM to malfunction? I'm not concerned at this time of having the VTS operationl, just would like to see some fire at the plugs. At this time, when I hit the Start/Stop all the lights on the gauge come on for a few seconds, then go out. Sorry for being so long-winded!!
