Exclamation Throttle Cable Loose

Hey guys...I'm new on here and this is my first post. I'm trying to fix my 2002 GTX RFI's throttle cable. It has gotten very loose in the last year and will now only reach a top speed of 30. When you push the thumb throttle it takes awhile before the cable even catches. Any help on how to tighten/fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. I wanna get back on the water!!!!

Thanks
BoS

This is just an educated guess...
Follow the throttle cable to the engine and check to see if there is an adjuster.
If no adjuster, and aside from replacing the cable, you may be able to cut off some slack & install a new cable end crimp.
