Default 96 Seadoo GTX "high temp" warning

As soon as I put the key in a "high temp" warning appears and within a few seconds all controls shut down, thus it will not turn over. Can anyone help?

did you ever find a solution to this problem? I have the same now with my 96 gsx. I believe its the temp sensor but when trying another from a ski just like it... it still didnt work. may be possible that one is bad to since it has been sitting so long.

96 gtx huh? Same exact ski as mine i had this same exact problem too a couples years ago. Be sure the connector on the wire to the temp sensor is tight its in a place where it always gets bumped and the connector kind of bent to where it wasnt making a connection with the sensor. I just took a pliers and bent the connector tight and it has worked fine since then.
