Default ECM Repair

I'm looking at a 2001 GTX RFI. The previous owner said he had a dead battery and jumped it off with a boat battery while on the lake. It burnt one of the terminals on the ECM (the one in the front hull area). Does this sound plausible? Could it have fried the whole unit? Can they be repaired? They are quite expensive. Haven't seen any bargains on EBAY.

Thanks,

Try sea-doo dot net classifieds for one. Yes, it sounds like that is what happened. I don't think they can be repaired and I think you need the sea-doo programmer to exchange them.
