I'm new at this site and posted a thread to the other forum and not sure where to ask my question. Looking at a 98 xpl replaced motor about 5 years ago (SBT) and now premix. looks to be well maintained and owner moved/new job/no more interest. Wouldn't start so owner had starter rebuilt and didn't work. Mechanic said it's the bendix. So instead of messing with it at the end of the season it then sat for 2 years and now selling. I would like some advice.. Do I but and replace the bendix and take the chance of anything else wrong or pass on it. Seems to appear in good shape cosmetically.
