Default 97 gsx issues

I recently picked up a 97 gsx 787. The guy i bought it from hadnt ran it in 2 years do to a no start issue. I towed it home, threw a battery in it, checked the compression and moved on to spark. Pulled the first plug, nice blue spark. pulled the second, no spark. Went back to the first and that one had lost spark as well. So the pwc was cranking fine just no spark. Headed inside did some research on wiring, troubleshooting, and other stuff. Went back out this evening after work to test the coil and some other things. Went to crank the motor and nothing. No click or anything. Checked the battery sitting good at 12.76 volts. Look at the display and it says 12v low. Switch batterys 12v low goes off but still no crank. I also found that I should be getting to beeps when I put my lanyard in. Im not getting that. Didnt get it when it was cranking before either. Went through checked grounds, fuses, and connections through out the craft. I will randomly get a click out of the relay on the back left corner of the craft when I hit start. Tried hitting the start 5 times to get the codes to show and still nothing. Im new to the pwc world but couldnt pass up the deal on this ski. Anything anyone can tell me that might help is greatly appreciated. And I also noticed that it randomly says hi temp on the dash as well.... I did test the dess with an ohm meter and everything checked out. thanks in advance!

Update: The main ground wire was broken, replaced and engine cranks perfect but still no spark. Beeper was bad, replace beeper but no beeps when lanyard installed. I do get one short beep when put into self diagnostic followed by "hi temp" on the gauge. I pulled the white wire on the coil to check and see if it would light when tested. When the white wire is pulled the engine will NOT crank. Plug it back in and it cranks fine. Any ideas as to what would cause this?
