XP951

I have a 2000 XP that i bought ceased. I've completely rebuilt the engine but i have a few questions before i get it running.

Fistly, it had a micro touch in it that was removed prior to me buying it. It's got aftermarket twin pipe exhausts. I've re-wired it back to standard. Am i correct that the micro touch is mainly just to lift the rev limiter and isnt actually required?

Also with the aftermarket exhausts do i still need to hook up the raves?

It's got buckshot twin carbs, anyone know of a good write-up on tuning these once i get it running?
