Just picked up a 1997 Seadoo GTX that the owner said has been sitting the last 4 years. It came with 2 Dess keys.
When plugging in there are no beeps on either key, engine turns over but no spark. Are these conditions related or are they two seperate issues?

Fairly certain that no beeps = no spark. make sure the contact is clean on both the post and the key. A local dealer should be able to trouble shoot.

Most likely not related, my buzzers quit working on my 97 and 96 a while ago. Check your fuses on your MPEM.

Took ski to dealer and found bad ground connections in the rear electrical box next to the battery.... Spark now....

Thanks for getting back to us, I suspected that it was electrical, no beep = no spark...

I have the same problem and have tried lots of different things...which connection is the ground connection?...is it the one with multiple wires on it?...I have a 98' GTX Ltd...
