Default What should I start with

Hi all, I just joined the forums and have a 1997 Seadoo Bombardier GTI. It ran 2 years ago but hasn't been touched since. I know I need to get the old gas out, change the plugs and battery. Any other recommendations on what else I need to do before I start it. This is my first time working on a jet ski or owning 1 for that matter. Thanks for looking and helping.

If you have the old grey fuel lines change them out a.s.a.p. I have a 1996 gti and it run great at first and then it started bogging down at wide open throttle. I changed all the fuel lines and cleaned the filters in the carbs. and it runs great now. You would not believe the "crap" that was in those filters caused by the old fuel line.

Thank you I will have to look at them. I cleaned the jetski yesterday and opened it up and noticed some chocolate milk looking liquid in the hull of the jetski. Not a lot of it but enough to notice. I'm hoping it's just water and grime from sitting for a while. Any ideas?

Excellent. Thanks for the input guys! I'm off to go get some parts to start working on it and hopefully get it up and running.
