Default PICS Inside: Piston skirt broke...do i need a new crank now?

So after the machine died out, i pulled the head and found pieces of aluminum. So i pulled the motor, and sure enough the piston skirt broke. I am going to order up new pistons and bore the cylinders, but am I also going to have to do the crankshaft?

Also as seen in one of the pics, there was a bit of damage done to the block, I really cant see this causing a prolem, but what do you think?

I really dont know why any of this happened.
