I just purchased a 96 gsx with only 54 hours on it. It ran great for the first three days but on day four it would shut off while riding. It would run great for 5 min and just stop. I would immeditaly it the start button and it would start right back up and continue to run great for a few min before doing it again. I'm new to the sport and any help would be greatly appricated.

Sounds like the carbs and fuel system need to be gone through and carbs rebuilt.

Does it still have the grey fuel lines , if so replace them with Black automotive type lines the new fuels with ethonal breaks down the inside liner of the fuel line and it cloges up the system, it stops up the small screen in the fuek pickup and in the carbs and even the switch valve for ON and Reserve.
