Default 94 seadoo sp taking on water

Hello,

I was looking for a bit of help in pointing me in the right direction with my ski. I have a 94 Seadoo SP that I bought used about 4yrs ago. Other than a battery I have never had any problems with it.

It wasn't driven much last summer, but when it was it was fine. I put it in the water this year and after about 10 min of gentle cruising on calm water the engine compartment is full of water almost covering the battery.

For good measure I replaced the plug but that didn't solve it. I have tried it 3 times and it has done it all times. I also looked at the hull and didn't see any cracks or holes so I don't believe it to be there.

Is there a common part failure such as a seal or something that can cause this? What other things can I look at?

TIA,
Ben

Check all your hose clamps, and check the seal where the impeller goes through

There should be two "pisser" hoses at the back. Check to make sure they are both solid and attached. If that is ok try putting the ski in the water on the trailer and see if you can see where the leak is coming from. If no leaks are visible try riding with the seat off, and looking.

I found the "leak". There was a small clear hose that connected to a barb under the exhaust manifold. Put it back on an all is good. Thx for all then help!!
