Default Trim question

I have a 1995 seadoo xp. It has the trim but I don't think it works. When I push the button, should I hear the motor? My first outing on it I had a passenger and the bottom was very low unless I was going a decent speed. How can I tell if its bad and is there anyway to level it out manually and just not worry sbout fixing it?

How fast were you going? I'm by no means an expert but I've never ridden a jet ski (especially with 2 people) that wasn't low in the water until you reach a certain speed - most will sit partially 'under' the water (especially with 2 people) until you get going pretty fast, then they plane across the top of the water.

Once we planed out it was fine. long as that's normal I'm good. You know smudging about the working of the trim system?

I'll let someone else chime in if there is anything else you should know - I don't know hardly anything about it - the trim system on my 97 Seadoo doesn't work but I also have a jet ski without a trim system and they both ride the same at low speeds and plane the same, so I figure it must be pretty normal
