Default I guess my ski is faster than I thought

My ski is faster than I thought it was! Evidently 96° and 80% humidity plus some waves affects these things alot. It ran consistently 65+ every top speed test sitting on the seat and I got 66 mph twice this afternoon laying on the seat. 73° air and 85° smooth water 8,050 rpms. For those that think that is slow, the speedo read 70-72mph. I talked to a kid on the lake and asked him how fast his ski was and he said "62mph on good water" I handed him my GPS and he could only clock off 55mph.

GPS units are great lie detectors. The little paddle wheel is 10% off.Thats why when I blew mine off I didn't fix it. Just like the Kawasaki 300X, checking on GREEN HULK most of them are well below 70 mph stock. 67.5 seems to be the average for them on GPS. I know I am waiting to smoke one. I guess sales are slow for the Jolly Green Giant because they scarce, have yet to seen on the water.

REALLY!?!? I thought that a wheel dangling in the water was a highly sophisticated technical instrument
The speed of the 300x's makes sense to me because I thought there was an agreement with the insurance companies to limit all PWC's to 68mph. The seadoo's won't go any faster than that either and they use GPS to restrict the speed. If the green boys get the chip knocked off, I bet you'll have your hands full
