Question 96 xp problem

Hey guys i have a 96 seadoo xp with the 800 moter i have a problem with the ski when i take it to the lake it starts up really hard like almost uses the whole battery to start it and then after i get it started i can
Floor it and it goes just has fast as idle and it will slowly start to get a little more speed almost like its surging up to full throtle and finally after its at full throtle it will go but if i slow down it does it agian and if i stop same thing all over agian so today i put it on the trailer and started it up and gave it gas and the rpms went right up and was like nothing was wrong so i shut it off and tryed agian and now wont start and somtimes when im out there it will be ok at low rpms but it still is a little slow and ill go up for a tailstand stand in not even straight up and it will lose all power an not go untill level agian and then do the bog thing agian i just replaced the fuel lines and rebuilt the garbs im stuck thanks for any help

Do a compression check first. Did you clean out your fuel selector switch when you did the fuel lines?

A motor will rev up like nothing is wrong when it's on a trailer and no load is applied to the motor even if it has low compression.
