Default duped again! gas leak/wont start! Help!

Hey guys, newbie..2nd jetski, 2nd p.o.s., moved to the keys and wanted to get on the water...anyway, bought this 96 seadoo spx, ran great on the dock, was low on fuel(so he said), compression was good in both cylinders..drove an hour to get it home(has no trailer, had to borrow one), and the battery is kinda weak...got it to crank over let it idle for a minute on the trailer. my buddy left, tried starting it in the water, battery died..in the meantime, i put about three gallons of fuel in it...checked on it today, and the hull is full with all that gas..funny how the guy gave me a brand new gas tank that he had "laying around" but didnt tell me its leaking...what should i check for? a leaking line, or chances are its the tank if theres that much fuel in the hull? is that an easy replace? meaning, can i pull and replace the tank thru the front compartment without taking the engine out? i've worked on dirtbikes, motorcycles and cars, but this is my first real water craft..any help would be greatly appreciated...also if a battery is not 100%, will it not successfully start a ski? thanks!

Easy fix. Comes right out front. Remove baffle note where fuel lines go. Unstrap and remove.
