Default 95 seadoo xp

Hey everyone, Im new here and new to pwc's. My buddy just bought a boat so I figured I'd by a pwc so that we could go rip around together. I found one somewhat locally to me. Its a 95 seadoo xp. The guy says the previous owner put some performance parts on it, but he doesnt remember exactly what they are, and he said it will do about 65 on the water. The only issue is that the fuel collector doesnt work, so I read that I can just block it off. I would be trading my beater car for it, do you think its a good deal? Is there anything I should look for when I go to look at it? And also the trailer doesnt have a title. How can I go about getting a title for it in PA. Thanks for the help everyone!

Great fun little machine. Several things: Do a compression check, that motor should put out 145-150 psi of compression. Not sure what the fuel collector is? Perhaps fuel selector? That's a small inexpensive part, no big deal. Also find out what aftermarket parts he put on it because these motors if not modded right can cause some major reliability issues. If it's just hull mods like intake grate, ride plate, that's great no biggie. Get more info and update us.

I will ask him to try and find out what mods it has, I believe he did say he thinks it has an exhaust? And yes i meant fuel selector. I will have to take a compression tester with when I go to look at it. He said when he purchased it, he had a mechanic look at it, and it has a new computer solenoid and trim, rebuilt carbs and new fuel lines. The oil injector is blocked off, but thats no big deal because I used to run 2stroke quads with the injector blocked. And a new started and fuel filter. Here is the listing on craigslist.

I don't understand people, if you're selling an $1,100 toy why not go and buy the fuel selector for $30 and then sell it? You know, you might get a few hundred more for it that way.

It looks to have a Factory Pipe, that's good. It really wakes the motor up. However you should run race fuel with this set up because this motor likes to detonate with this set up. What worries me is he just has the electrical box out and made a hot mess of it. Could have electrical issues. Ask what's the deal with that.

Yeah just run 100 octane or you can mix 50% 93 (premium) and 50% percent 100 octane to save some money as the race fuel by me is $6.89 a gallon.

Ask him what he ran in it? Don't forget the most important thing, the compression check.

Remove both spark plug wires but only one spark plug at a time. Crank with wide open throttle. 145-150 PSI is what you're looking for.

Alright so basically same thing as a car. Good deal! Thanks for all the help, and if the comp check is good and it runs smooth, think its a good deal?
